TD Sequential crypto screener: free vs paid options

Last updated:

A TD Sequential screener checks many symbols for a completed Setup 9 or Countdown 13 so you do not page through charts. Most free tools only draw the count on one chart. Some paid tools scan many symbols; others plot the counts on one chart. Few are built for crypto.

What a crypto screener must do

People type “TD Sequential screener” and “TD Sequential scanner” for the same need: find the markets where the count has just reached a signal. If you want to learn the count first, read what TD Sequential is. Five tests separate a screener from an indicator, and they are the lens for everything below.

Every Buy Setup 9 and Buy Countdown 13 from Sequencer 9-13, on 1,600+ markets, newest first.
  • Many symbols. It looks at a list or a whole exchange, not at the one chart you have open. Crypto has hundreds of pairs, so a one-chart tool means you are still the scanner.
  • Closed bars only. TD Sequential counts closes. A count that changes while the bar is still forming can show a nine that later disappears, so the tool should act when the bar has closed.
  • The timeframes you use. A daily nine and a four-hour nine are different events. Check which timeframes it scans, and whether it can scan more than one at once.
  • An alert channel you will see. A result you only find by opening the tool is a list, not a screener. Popup, email, push or Telegram: pick the one you actually read.
  • Crypto venues and data. A stock screener cannot see Binance pairs, and a broker feed may not list the coins you trade.

Free options

Free tools are good for learning the count and for checking a single chart. None of the free options checked scans a crypto market for TD Sequential signals out of the box.

TradingView and the basic screener

TradingView hosts at least one paid script, DeMARK 9-13, that draws the count (see below). Its pricing page lists a free Basic plan with no credit card, and lists stock, ETF, DEX and crypto screeners among its features (checked 26 October 2026). The Crypto Coins Screener page does not mention TD Sequential, so it cannot be said to filter by the count. The pricing page shows Basic with 3 active price alerts, which is thin if you want alerts on many markets.

GitHub library for developers

The ourarash/tdsequential package is an MIT-licensed Node.js implementation. You pass in an array of open, high, low and close bars and get back, for each bar, the setup and countdown counts, flags including bullish and bearish flips, perfection and TDST levels. It is a building block, not a screener. The page does not mention scanning many symbols or sending alerts, so you would write the data download, the loop over pairs, the closed-bar rule and the alerting yourself.

MQL5 free indicator: one chart, not a scanner

TD Sequential Pro MT4 is free on MQL5. It is a main-chart indicator: the page lists alert-on-bar-close, with popup and sound on by default and push and email off, and it recommends M15 and higher timeframes. It does not say it scans several symbols. It needs MetaTrader and a feed that lists your pairs.

MQL5 demo: needs MT5 and a broker feed

The paid MQL5 scanners below offer a free demo. A demo is a test, not a free tool, and it only works inside MetaTrader. If your broker does not list the crypto pairs you trade, the scanner has nothing to scan.

MQL5 TD Sequential Scanner, $198 as listed

The MT5 scanner and the MT4 scanner are each listed at 198 USD on 26 October 2026. They scan symbols from your Market Watch list or a custom list, on nine timeframes from M1 to MN1, with popup, email and push alerts that you can switch on or off. Both were published on 24 December 2020 and both show “No reviews” on the product page. It scans whatever your broker offers, so it covers crypto only if your broker lists crypto. The listings do not mention volume or candle confirmation.

TradingView DeMARK 9-13, subscription

The DeMARK 9-13 script is listed under Paid Space and is available only to DeMARK 9-13 subscribers. It plots Setup, Countdown, TDST lines, Perfected Setups and risk levels. The page shows no price, and does not mention a scanner or alerts.

Moolish: 7-day trial, then Pro

Moolish is a crypto market scanner, and Moolish publishes this page, so read this part with that in mind. Its Sequencer 9-13 method scans TD Setup and TD Countdown signals, such as Buy Setup 9 and Buy Countdown 13, on ten scan timeframes from 15M to 3M. A scan runs on one exchange at a time, with Binance spot and futures the deepest, and alerts go to Telegram right after the bar closes. Pricing, exactly as Moolish states it: “Start with the 7-day free trial, no credit card, and nothing is charged automatically. After the trial, Pro is $49 a month, $119 for 3 months or $389 for 12 months, as a renewing subscription or a one-time pass, with a 30-day money-back guarantee on your first payment.” See Sequencer 9-13 and the TD Sequential crypto scanner guide for how the count is scanned.

Where Moolish is weaker: it has no public product reviews yet, so you are judging it on its own pages and on the trial. It alerts only on Telegram, not by email or popup. It covers crypto only, so it will not help with stocks or forex. And it is not a charting platform; TradingView is the stronger place to draw and script.

Stock-first tools

Two TD Sequential screeners show up in search that are not crypto-first.

  • Wealth-Lab. Its Tom Demark Sequential (Sandbox Version) screener runs on US stock universes. The Dow 30, Nasdaq 100 and S&P 100 are free, and larger lists such as the S&P 500 and Russell 1000, 2000 and 3000 are for subscribers. Its universes hold one year of history. Alerts and price are not mentioned on the page. It is a US equities tool.
  • chartink. The TD sequential screener page loaded as a title only, “TD sequential, Technical Analysis Scanner”, with no market, conditions or price shown. What chartink screens could not be verified, so it is not presented as a crypto option.

Limits and costs

  • Trials. A trial shows whether the signals and alerts fit how you work. Moolish’s is 7 days with no card. MQL5 demos run inside MetaTrader only.
  • Broker feeds. MetaTrader tools scan what your broker lists. A broker may list few crypto pairs, or list crypto as CFDs, whose prices can differ from the exchange you trade on.
  • Data history. A count needs enough bars behind it. Wealth-Lab states one year of history per universe, which is short for a weekly or monthly count. Ask any tool how much history it holds.
  • What free tiers cut. Free plans tend to limit alerts and universes: TradingView Basic lists 3 active price alerts, and Wealth-Lab leaves its larger stock universes to subscribers.
  • No tool decides for you. A completed nine or thirteen marks an area to look at. It is not a promise about what price does next, and false signals happen. Nothing on this page is financial advice, and trading crypto carries a high risk of loss.

The crypto scanner comparison compares volume, candle patterns and alerts.

FAQ

What is the best free TD Sequential screener?

None of the free options checked scans many crypto markets for the count. The free MQL5 indicator draws it on one chart, and a paid TradingView script does the same. The GitHub library gives developers the counts to build their own scan. Moolish offers a free 7-day trial.

Does TradingView have a TD Sequential screener?

TradingView has a crypto screener, and at least one paid script, DeMARK 9-13, that draws the count. The screener page does not mention TD Sequential, so it cannot be confirmed that it filters by Setup or Countdown. Check the script or screener description yourself.

Can a screener alert on Setup 9 and Countdown 13 across all Binance pairs?

Moolish can scan a whole exchange, Binance spot and futures included, for Buy and Sell Setup 9 and Countdown 13 on ten timeframes, and send a Telegram alert when a bar closes on a match. The alert is off while the market scope is narrowed by sector, cap or volume.

Is Moolish free?

Moolish has a 7-day free trial with no credit card, and nothing is charged automatically. After the trial, Pro is $49 a month, $119 for 3 months or $389 for 12 months, with a 30-day money-back guarantee on your first payment. Prices can change, so check the pricing section.
